Obstacle # 1
The
first obstacle that
Mr. Ness and his team had to
overcome was actually at first getting
the playground.
A generous man named Mr. Debney
of CDC Recreation wanted to donate that
first playground and has continued to be
involved in getting each one since.
Obstacle # 2
The next obstacle that they had to overcome was getting a container to
transport the playground to where ever
it was going. This too worked out as a
company called GSA (Ground, Sea, Air)
has helped secure a container each year.
Obstacle #3
Mr. Ness
needed a team of students and local adults for the job.
Finding adult workers is especially important
and every year those people have come
into place just when they were
needed.
Obstacle #4
The weather
is always a
big obstacle. If the weather is bad you
can't fly an airplane or steer a ship
and you have to check the weather for the
day that you are planning to work. A stint
of poor weather can delay a project so
the workers always are happy when they
see sunny skies!
