This shop is great for traditional Chinese medicine. You can also get acupuncture at the same place. Acupuncture is a cure for things by sticking needles into your skin at precise points on the body. Also you can get healthy foods.

 

 

 Herbal Shops in Chinatown

In the many herbal shops in Chinatown you can find cures and relives to many things. On the shelf's you can find a variety of dried out herbs. You can also find dried sea horses, sea dragons, dried lizards, snakes, and sea birds. At some shops you can find live crab & lobster.

The Tea Shop: 

This shop is a Shop were you can buy all kinds of tea. There are herbal tea as well as normal tea. You can also get all kinds of green tea.

 

 

 Candy Land:

This shop sells all kinds of candy and drinks. If you  have a sweet tooth and want to try something new come here. There are tons of candies that come from China.

  The Gift Shop in the Chinese Cultural Center:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This shop has a lot of little odds and ends. There are also tons of weapons and lanterns. Something  all kids like are the poppers and the stink bombs.

 

 

      

Overview

In Chinatown the businesses are very lively and are filled with great staff. All the shops, and  restaurants on this page are only a fraction of the total shops that are actually in Calgary's Chinatown. You can find novelty shops, book shops and clothing stores. There are also candy shops and herbal shops. There are grocery stores with all ingredients you need for any Chinese recipes. If you have a sweet tooth the day you are in Chinatown go to one of the many candy stores and try some Chinese candy. Or try drinking from the many unique styles of coke cans and bottles. As you can see, the amount of shops are stunning. 

If you want to learn something about China or thsi history of the Chinese in Calgary, go to the Chinese Cultural Center and take a look through  the museum. If you go to Chinatown take some time and look around, it's a great place!
